Epic Marine are custom boat builders based in Rockingham, Western Australia. Epic Marine builds recreational vessels to their customers requirements ranging from "Easy Epic" dinghies to the "Epic Senator" which ranges in size from 5.5m to 7.2m.
This site was created to show case some of Epic's recent builds and provide some information and a contact point to potential customers.
Joomla was used as the Content Management system. A custom Joomla template design, a neat Mootools scrolling tab feature and a few additional plugins provide extra functionality and that little bit of "WOW"!
Features;
- Suckerfish Menus. Search engine friendly drop down menus. Great effect and easy navigation without adversely affecting SEO.
- Mootools.
Mootools effects are employed in the template to slide from one tab to
the other on the home page. Mootools effects are a great addition to
any site. Check it out on the home page.
- Joomap.
Automatic sitemap generator for Joomla which is compatible with Google
Webmaster Tools. Great for search engin optimisation (SEO).
- SH404SEF.
Search Engine Friendly URL component. A great SEO component. Not only
does it give you great URL's, it also allows you to have custom meta
data for every page. Now, every page of your site can have keywords and
a description related to that particular content.
- Lightbox.
Comes with JCE tools which is part of the terrific JCE editor for
Joomla. Lightbox is a Javascript plugin that opens images in a popup
window and fades the background to a dark grey.
