Viperfish Media is the home of independent web developer John Pitchers. Based in Western Australia, John is recognised as a niche specialist in the Joomla CMS having worked with Joomla almost exclusively since it's inception in 2005. John has been building websites for businesses in Perth, and across Australia, since 2001.
I am good at building Joomla based websites but so are many other people. I am not the cheapest and I am probably not the quickest. But, there is one good reason you should consider hiring me for your next project.
I do what I say I'm going to do.
That's it. You see, every week I get requests to quote on jobs that are fix-ups or rescue jobs. It still amazes me how many people shell out money to so called developers only to end up with a broken or completely unusable website. We've even had people tell us their developer has simply disappeared, gone back to Uni or got a "real" job.
If this has been your experience then you have come to the right place. This is all I do. Every day. I love it and care about the quality of what I produce.

Where I am based
This is where I work from. I have a home office in Baldivis and it has has been my place of work full time since 2004. Here's a little history. Sometimes working from home is like living at work. It's hard to switch off when work is in the next room. But, I'll let you in on a secret... web developers don't sleep. There's always work to do and new technology to learn. The home office that's open 24/7 is perfect for an obsessive compulsive code monkey :)
At first, Viperfish was just a cool name. Every incarnation of the Viperfish website has featured a version of this grotesque fish somewhere in the layout. It is incredibly ugly but it's got personality and in many ways the Viperfish is a metaphor for the solitary life of a successful independent web developer.
It is a solitary creature, living in the deep depths of the ocean. When prey gets too close - attracted to it's luminous photophore - it attacks with speed and precision. Even though it is a small fish in a very big ocean it is extremely efficient and makes the most of it's opportunities.
Yeah, that. But, mostly it's just a cool name.
